2011 Workshops

Watercolor cards  with Nicki Lanzi January 28th, 1:00pm-3:30pm

Use words and color to create one- of- a- kind cards for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.  In this workshop you will create three unique cards with your someone special in mind. $15.00 plus $5.00 supply fee.  Bring own paints or use the instructor’s. Blank cards included.

 

Watercolors with Gary G. Greene  February 8th, 1:00pm - 4:00pm, March 8th, 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Watercolor workshop with mixed media   at beach house (located 3 miles from GOLA  at 2715 Oceanshore Blvd. )

You may have seen him working outside or you may have been lucky enough to enjoy one of his demonstrations at the Flagler County Library.  Now paint along with Gary as he shows you how to create images of nature using an artist’s eye.

$30.00 Please bring watercolor paints and artist quality watercolor paper.  Instructor will supply wax, ink and acrylic.     



Exteriors  with Nicki Lanzi  February 20  1:00pm-3:30pm

Capture the fun and fantasies of Flagler Beach with pen and ink and color washes. This workshop will be held ourside in Flagler Beach - weather permitting. A hard cover, watercolor journal is wonderful to have for painting your favorite places. Bring your photos (in case the weather isn't ideal) and we will learn how to prepare your pages for successful paintings. These are also great to use for references for larger paintings. Interiors with Nicki Lanzi at Beach house (located 3 miles from GOLA  at 2715 Oceanshore Blvd. ) March 19 10:00am to 3:00pm

   

Have fun capturing your favorite vignette from inside your home or from somewhere you have been.  This acrylic layering class, using limited colors of your choice, with “peek a boo” glimpses of background washes, has beautiful results.  You will create a welcoming painting that makes viewers want to “walk right in”.   All levels welcome!

 

 

Florals with Nicki Lanzi at beach house (located 3 miles from GOLA  at 2715 Oceanshore Blvd ) March 26 10:00am-3:00pm

 

Glimpses of hot pink, bright yellow or orange peek through the petals of flowers, giving your painting as much pizzazz as you allow.  This technique gives an edge to florals by using unusual colors rather than the ordinary.  Your flowers will be enhanced in this class!  All levels welcome.  $40.00 with own supplies or share instructor’s for $5.00 supply fee.  Please bring one or two 16x20 (or similar-sized) canvases.

Information:

Classes are $15.00 each with the exception of Artist Studies.   Artist Studies (for children grades K-2) are $12.00 with a $5.00 supply fee.


Watercolor and Acrylic painting classes have an optional $5.00 supply fee.  This allows you to try out a class without purchasing supplies first.


Debbie Moser has a lovely variety of stones from which to choose in a jewelry making class.  The supply fee is $6.00. 


Nicki Lanzi recommends a fine unibal pen for her Watercolor with pen and ink classes.
