After twenty or so years as a forester in northern Minnesota I retired, still being attracted to the forest and trees. I picked up woodworking from a friend, himself a retired forester. His work and the work of several other woodworkers inspired me and the little trees I make. I use wood that I find in woodlots, or along the street on yard waste pickup day, or from firewood piles behind the homes of friends and acquaintances. The shape and form of the trees are mostly the result of the wood I use. All my trees are made by hand. All are unique.
