Laura Orem is a mixed-media artist living in Palm Coast. Born in Queens NY and raised in Maryland, she holds an MFA from Bennington College and is the author of two books of poetry. She taught writing at Goucher College in Baltimore for fifteen years.

 

Laura has been making art for over twenty years. First starting with jewelry making and bead embroidery, she later expanded into book-binding, collage, and painting. Currently she is working with mixed-media and resin, focusing on the ocean, sea life, and the rest of the natural world.
