My name is Kevin Barry. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. I inherited an interest in photography from my father. Like him, I am fond of taking pictures of nature’s innate beauty. My photos are intended to lighten up someone’s day.

Color is the key to my art. I love color! Flowers are a particular favorite of mine. Not only are they stunningly beautiful, a gift from God every day, but they also rarely move around and complain about things.

My wife is a stained glass artist and teacher, and she has produced wonderful pieces for years. My mother used charcoal, ink, every kind of artists paint, and had the magic touch for watercolors! It really was remarkable and our family treasures her art. As a child, I was tremendously impressed by her talent. I have been instinctively drawn to the study of images from a very early age.

I am proud to say that I had brought up my daughter to share that enthusiasm for art. She is a gentle soul who has studied and created in graphic arts. She has a keen eye, and a quick wit. She has done work, beautiful work, for years.

Many people desire to be outside, in nature. As for nature herself, the warmth of the sunshine, the sounds, the smells …are all remembered when you daydream. People smile and gentle memories are stirred.

That is what I want for my art.
