Class Name:  Beginner Stained Glass - Make and Take your own Turtle or Shell Suncatcher

Description:  Students will be making an adorable turtle or beautiful shell suncatcher in this beginner-friendly class! Participants will start their project from the beginning. Learn about the tools and techniques required as you walk through this creative process. All tools are provided for your use during the class. All supplies will be provided. Class Name:  Paint a Turtle Stepping Stone

Description:  Together we will create a fun and colorful concrete steppingstone for your garden or patio. All materials will be furnished – just bring a smile and a color idea that makes you happy. Turtle is approximately 12” x 15”. No painting skills needed, so don’t worry about that at all. We will be painting in a shady outdoor environment on the GOLA patio.

Description:  Join artist, Linda Gordon, for this fun make and take workshop. In this class, you will create a kaleidoscope from a wooden egg shape or carboard cylinder. Each kaleidoscope will be unique as you personalize your creations with gems and other embellishments. You'll complete your unique creation in class.

Class Name:  Wire Wrapping Jewelry

Description: Students will make and take 2 wirewrapped jewelry pieces. First, a side drilled stone using one wire in which you will learn wrapping techniques that will be used on the second piece. The second is a 3 wire wrap on a large 30 x 40 mm oval cabachon stone of your choice (golden or red tiger eye or carnelian). This class requires good hand skills. If you have zero hand skills or have long fingernails, you may have a problem with this class.

Class Name:  Macramé Plant Hanger Workshop with Knotted Vines

Description: Join us for an afternoon of fun tying knots! Sarah of Knotted Vines will be joining us to teach the fundamentals of macramé in this class designed for all skill levels. Whether you’ve never tried macramé or have been dying to dust off your skills from back in the day, this is the perfect class for you. You’ll make your very own plant hanger for your favorite plant friend and learn everything you need to know to continue this therapeutic craft at home. All of the materials and Sarah’s instruction is included in the cost of this class. There will be a few cord colors to choose from on the day of the class.

Class Name:  Make and Take a GEM TREE!

Description:  Make a Gem Tree! It's fun and easy. Gem Trees are created by a combination of tiny stones or other leaf shaped objects, attached to wire that has been twisted into the shape of a tree that will be mounted on a shell base. Tree Sculpture is an ancient art form that can be many materials. You will learn wire wrapping/twisting techniques that will also be used to create a pair of gem earrings. Instructor Linda Gordon has been an artist and an educator for over 30 years. Her beautiful works are for sale at GOLA - Gallery of Local Artists in Flagler Beach.

Class Name:  Scrimshaw

Description:  Students will receive a scrimshaw kit containing a teardrop shaped bone blank pre-drilled to make either a pendant or key chain. You will also receive a scribe, key chain, and scrimshaw patterns. You will learn how to transfer a pattern to the blank, then scribe the blank and ink it.
